Question:
What sort of rod should I get?

I don't want to spend more than £30. I'm starting a fisheries management course in September and will be fishing pretty much every day. I will primarily be fishing for carp, roach, rudd, bream and perch. Any links to sites would help.

Thanks in advance

Will you be float fishing, or using a feeder? It's hard to think of a rod that will do both adequately.

Answer that one and I'll make a few suggestions.

To catch the roach, rudd, bream and perch you will be able to use a "match" type rod. Go to your nearest tackle shop and have a look at what they have, this is much better than looking on the internet as you will be able to see what the rods "feel" like. You will probably need a more powerful rod for the carp unless they are small.

You be starting a fisheries management course and you think you'll be fishing every day!

Sorry sunshine you will be spending less time fishing then than you do now!

Running a successful fishery is hard work long hours and very very little time to be sitting by the water fishing!

Sorry sunshine you just haven't a clue do you!

A friend of mine has a fishery as part of his estate even with a manager he has very little time to spend fishing!

And just wanting to spend £30.00 on a rod HA!

You're starting a fisheries management course (whatever the hell that is) and you're going to be fishing just about every day... hmm... I can't think of a good rod for less than $50.
