Popping cork with live shrimp is probablly best but live shrimp can be expensive and you MUST HAVE AN AERATOR OR they will quickly die. You can also use a jig under popping cork(try different color grubs) or bottom fish. I tie a weight to end of line then make a loop about 8-12 inches above wt. to attach hook(but fishing on botttom also will put you where the dreaded hardhead catfish lives)

Right now the easiest and best way for you to catch fish is with live shrimp and a popping cork. They sell popping corks everywhere. Hook the shrimp just under the horn in their head, toss it out there and make it pop while you are reeling it back to you. all you do is jerk your fishing pole. but give it a little pause after each jerk, maybe 2 seconds. the sound you are making with your cork sounds like a group of shrimp and will attract game fish.

Put a swivel at the end of the line. This way you change up your bait. As for what type of bait to use i am not quite sure. It depends what you are fishing for. well good luck!
