Better and more fishing section questions? GEE-OH, I'm used to giving a five answers a day about stuff I REALLY know about, not one answer a day about something I really know about, and two that I know little about.

hey man, i used to be on here pretty steadily, and what i noticed was that allot of the questions were from people that were starting off fishing. well i guess that there are not too many people going out and trying to start fishing because of the season and temp. not a whole lot of beginners willing to fish in this type of weather, especially because of the rain around here in southeast ga. there has been tons of rain. i think the weather man said last night that the average rain fall for the year is a little above 36 inches but in 2009 we have gotten 48 plus and most of that has been from the past 3 months. but i guess as soon as it warms up a little and dries up a little that there will be more postings about beginning fishing and bass fishing. well man i hope this helps out a little. good luck good fishing be safe and remember to share the experience

oh yea, happy new year

I fish rain or shine. It doesn't matter to me. I guess I'm just lucky enough to live where there's tons of fishing action all throughout the year, no matter what. Stripers are running up through the California Delta right now, which is awesome. Catfish and sturgeon are biting good as well. Trout are being stocked in the public lakes. Salmon season is regulated but you can catch the kokes in some of the lakes. And you just gotta go and get after the bass and panfish, like the crappie and bluegill, just like any other time.

Anyway, after saying that, I completely understand what you're saying about having better and more questions. The majority of people wait until the weather starts warming up and when it's more comfortable for them to be outdoors. Thus, this is when more questions and concerns come up, and that's when more answers can be provided to help those with less experience. But let's not forget to learn more ourselves as we become better fisherman.

I'm just amazed to know that so many people miss out on some of the greatest times to fish, and to catch fish, simply because of the weather.

Good luck out there on the water.

It is supposed to be 22 below here tonight. I would rather go summer fishing, But the ice is going to get thicker before it melts, So I'll go ice fishing. I guess you got to make lemonade out of lemons.

I'm from NY and I'm fishing daily in the gulf. I can't blame people for not fishing in such a great place as I am but I would like to see as much action on this site as I am getting in the water.

I guess it's slow no matter what but I'd like to get the most out of anything I love. Especially fishin. I can't learn enough.

bottom line, Yea is slow here.
