In northern CA, they go anywhere from $2.00 to $3.00. Although, depending where you live, digging for them yourself can work too. I've found that trout like regular worms just as much as night crawlers.

Free if you go in your backyard and spray water on the grass. Drown the worms, they will come up then catch them. If not, $1.50
