my fishing line seems to be good until a fishing trip that makes the line dirty and brittle... is it because of the friction from the rod guides?? i use a spinning reel with 10lb line and it seems like the line feels dry not smooth and sometimes you can feel a bit of crispy line.... shuld i worry? shuld i get new line? this happens with new line usually from a new spool of line then 1 2 or 3 trips later these issues happens

well one way to tell if the line is going bad is if it is changing color like clear line will go yellow and color line will fade one way to keep line in good shape keep it out of the sun when not using it. the uv rays weakin the line and if the line feels like that a lot respool it better to catch that record fish then to have lost it.

Also i use monofilliment i like it to reliable

Each time I return from a fishing trip I cut about 6' off the line. This is at the end of the line that catches all the rocks and where the fish may "fin" it. Change your line at least once a year.

It could be from fishing rocks or cover, or possibly you're missing an eye cover or one of them has a groove in it. If you still can't find the problem then you may want to switch to braided line because it is very abrasion resistant.
